My name is Gerard Karlo Palileo but most people call me Gigoy. I created this blog because I want my thoughts to have a home in cyberspace. Somewhere I can place them regardless of whatever they are.

Just a fair warning, this blog is a poor man's blog. It will be updated from an internet cafe or from a borrowed laptop. Except for the rare (and when I say rare, I mean once or twice a year, rare) occasion that somebody will treat me, I won't be posting about good eats or fine places to go to. I also won't be blogging on big time events in local and far flung places in the Philippines (or the world for that matter) because I don't have any connections nor do I know people in the "right places" to be in such events. Pictures - if there will be any, will not be of high quality. Any personal picture on this blog will not be shot using a DSLR or any high caliber digital camera. The best equipment we have is the camera on my china phone. And you know how it is with china phones. On the label it says "12.1 MP" but the truth is you still need to divide that by 30 and that leaves us with "0.4 MP".

This blog is purely about a poor man blogging about his normal experiences and normal thoughts using normal, non-highfalutin English. I will commit mistakes with my grammar because English is not my native language and I also have no plans of being a grammarian.

This sums up how this blog is and how it will be and it can't get any better than that -- there may be times that it will but, it will be rare (remember my definition of "rare" on top?).
